SFIAR Award for Agricultural Research in Switzerland, 2015


The Swiss Forum for International Agricultural Research (SFIAR) is offering research award for graduates and scientists of a Swiss institution who work in agricultural research for development. The best research team project wins CHF 10’000 and the best Master thesis project CHF 1’000. To be eligible for this award, applicants must have been carried out at or in close collaboration with a Swiss institution involved in ARD and have appropriate linkages in developing countries. The application deadline is 15 July 2015.


National Scholarship Programme for Foreign Applicants in Slovak Republic, 2015-2016


Applications are invited for National Scholarship Programme to support study/research/teaching/artistic mobility of foreign students, PhD students, university teachers, researchers and artists at universities and research organisations in Slovakia. The scholarship shall cover scholarship holders’ living costs (accommodation, board, etc.) during their study/research/teaching/artistic stay. Selection Committee decides who will be awarded a scholarship in the framework of the NSP. The Committee is appointed by the Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic. The application deadline is 30 April 2015.

Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship for International Students at City University London in UK, 2015

 

 

 

 

 

 City University London is inviting applications for vice chancellor’s scholarship for starting an undergraduate course in September 2015. The Scholarship is worth £2000 each year towards tuition fees and is paid for a maximum of three years, subject to satisfactory academic performance each year. The scholarship is aimed at students who achieve exceptional grades at ‘A’ level or International Baccalaureate. The application deadline is 5th June 2015.



2015 Dr Abdul Kalam International Postgraduate Scholarships at University of Sydney, Australia


The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies of University of Sydney is offering Dr Abdul Kalam Scholarships for international students. Scholarships are valued at 50% of the tuition fees for one year of study in any postgraduate program. The student must be enrolled full-time in the master program, commencing in semester 2. Selection will be based on academic merit. Application deadline is 31 May 2015 for Semester 2.

CIMO Fellowships for International Doctoral Students in Finland, 2015-2016

 

 

 

 

 

 

Applications are invited for CIMO fellowship programme available for students and researchers from all countries and from all academic fields to pursue doctoral studies at a Finnish university. Visiting Doctoral-level students and researchers who are doing their Doctorate degree at some foreign university can also be considered eligible, provided that the motivation letter of the hosting Finnish university department presents exceptionally good grounds for such an application. The grant is 1,500 euro/month. The grant is personal and is intended to cover for the subsistence costs of the scholarship holder in Finland. Additional support for accommodation will not be paid nor will CIMO pay travel or visa / residence permit expenses. Trips abroad to collect research materials cannot be included in the scholarship period. Applications must be submitted at least 5 months before the proposed scholarship period.
 

International Undergraduate Scholarships at University of Melbourne in Australia, 2015-2016


University of Melbourne is awarding up to 50 international undergraduate scholarships. Scholarships are available for international students (other than Australia and New Zealand) who hold an unconditional offer for an undergraduate course. These scholarships  are awarded on the basis of academic merit and allocated on a competitive basis subject to quotas by course and region. The application deadline is 1 November 2015.

VINNMER Marie Curie Incoming Fellowships for International Researchers in Sweden, 2015-2016



VINNOVA offers 100 Marie Curie Incoming Fellowships for research within the Mobility for Growth programme in Sweden. The call targets internationally experienced researchers currently working outside Sweden who have a doctorate (or at least four years’ full-time equivalent research experience) in collaborating with private and/or public sector organisations. For highly experienced researchers (more than ten years’ full-time equivalent research experience) collaboration is optional. The grant is intended to fund half the salary of the researcher (project leader) for the duration of the project. It also covers additional relevant and justifiable costs relating to mobility. The application deadline is 16 September 2015.
